“The Borderland Memory” is our latest project carried out in 2021.
An on-line publication on 20 places of the Jewish history in Upper Silesia and the Zaglembie – on the historical border between Poland and Germany. Using a variety of media such as photography, oral history and, historical and archival iconographic materials, we wrote stories about forgotten history. They are rooted in a specific local context. The publication also deals with more universal issues, such as the state of preservation of Jewish heritage, the long-term effects of the Holocaust in public space and social awareness, as well as the processes of memory duration and the inevitability of the passing time.
