In May 2026, we conducted exploratory work in the attic of the Bedzin Ghetto Fighters’ House. The goal was to identify and document preserved historical traces and find objects related to the history of the building and its inhabitants.
During the work, an inventory and documentation of the discovered objects were conducted. Among the most valuable finds were a Jewish prayer book from 1934 and a World War II-era wristband marked with the Star of David. The discovered objects constitute an important testimony to the history of the site and the memory of the Jewish community in Będzin.
After completing the necessary conservation and documentation work, the discovered objects will become part of an exhibition presented at the Będzin Ghetto Fighters’ House, enriching the narrative of the history of this place and its inhabitants.
The project contributed to deepening knowledge about the history of the House and preserving material traces of the past for future generations.
