We present the REPORT on archaeological and research research – a synthetic summary of the activities conducted by the Brama Cukermana Foundation in 2025. The project was implemented thanks to funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of a program supporting the development of memorial sites. The presented results clearly demonstrate the exceptional importance, uniqueness, and, indeed, exceptional nature of this place – a space where the fabric of the ghetto in 1943 has been preserved almost intact.

The Będzin Ghetto Fighters House is a unique example of a place where the archaeology of memory – in situ activities – meets the accounts of witnesses to history. Both archaeological research and extensive analysis of sources: the memories of Polish witnesses and the diaries of survivors, written in languages such as English and Hebrew, played a key role.

A detailed report in Polish is available for download on the foundation’s website; it can also be translated using automated tools.

*The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund – a state earmarked fund.
