From March 5, 2022, SATURDAY
The House of prayer is open from 11-17.00 (11am to 5pm)

We are delighted to announce that we are opening the door to our newly restored prayer House. We will be waiting for you from March to October every Saturday from 11am to 5pm.

On site, you can admire the polychromes restored in 2021, as well as listen to stories about the place itself, and talk with us, the members of the foundation.

We have been in the House since 2008. These are years of very intensive work for us, but also absorbing knowledge, fulfilling passions and making new friendships. The House of Prayer of the Cukierman family is a special place that awaits everyone eager for visual and olfactory sensations – the scent of turpentine is still in the air … Here we successfully carry out our mission of keeping the memory of the Jews from Będzin.

You can meet at the House: Karolina and Piotr Jakoweńko, Andrzej Ciepał, Grzegorz Onyszko, and Dariusz Walerjański – members of the foundation, who, from the very beginning of our small organization, struggle to preserve this place as the material heritage of Będzin Jews, but also the memory of the beautiful, but a painful story.

The entrance is free, but we have a “cedaka” tin and will be grateful for any generosity.

No appointment necessary, unless there are larger groups. In the present time of a pandemic, 6 people can stay in the House at a time.
